Drawn it on paper with pencil. Make out lines in photo-shop, Then I put the brush on color mode on and off with other blending modes; screen and overlay mostly. I use most of brush on opacity with the selection tool to draw shapes and then adding color in the selection. Background is done separately and then color balanced with character colors and some lighting on character from background.

Started with the concept in mind as to portray Mr. caterpillar. Drawn it on paper with pencil. Make out lines in photo-shop, I wanted to give focus on his face as well dramatic, so I made rim light quite harsh. put the values down, Alice came after wards I draw it digitally. Then I put the brush on color mode on and off with other blending modes; screen and overlay mostly. I use most of brush on opacity with the selection tool to draw shapes and then adding color in the selection. I made the perspective grid with frontal lines and the with the help of transform scale tool set it on the floor with I have in my mind when I draw Mr. Cater... Then in the end to finalize I did some quick color balance with blue light to get more drama. As the research i googled/wiki-ed around Mr.Caterpillar/caterpillar[insect] to get the flow of the character/design(colors-patterns) done previously by other great artists.

This is my 4th painting in oil. I saw Miyazaki's "howl's moving castle" and was inspired by the movie. I was visiting a book store and ran into ts production focus book. This painting is from that book, its a background matte in the movie but I did it in oils. the original movie background is in water colors.

Future Bridges

I have been thinking about the bridges between communication, human transporter system from one place to other, and definitely the increasing factor for non human interactivity among each other, stillness in the life! welcome to the future of bridges for anything.
About the style and technique;
I really like the style of android [Andrew Jones], I have used max to create the bridge and then painted the details over the raw render for the first image. Most of the patterns that appear in the images are custom made some are found on internet.
